Probably one of the best dragon art pieces I've come across on dA. That being said, here is what I thought of it:
Vision: Quite an in-depth piece. You can see the proportion of the dragon(s)=the people's size is realistic in many ways. It suggests the dragon is older, and very wise, giving it a respectful appearance as an intelligent being.
Originality: This piece keeps it's originality in check. Showing a point possibly in the future, or in a parallel world with dragons, and advanced technology (by seeing the buildings in the background and the bridge around the middle).
Technique: The style of the dragons vs the background/scenery art is quite different but effective. The dragon has more detail in a smaller space, while the background art has much more room, and the detail is spread out to give it a grander effect to tell the viewer that the land is quite massive and beautiful. The one thing I noticed though, the rock/ledge on the right bottom side of the picture could have used a bit more detail and better shading to make like a pathway in the structure to show how those 2 people got up to the top.
Impact: At first glance, you notice the dragon right away, after looking it over, your eye is drawn to the towering castle/buildings in the background off in the distance. Then your eyes look over the remaining scenery/landscape, making you wonder what that dragon is doing looking at the 2 people on the rock ledge, and the story behind everything you see before you.
To conclude, this artwork greatly impacts an artist's creative view by making the viewer wonder about the proportions of the dragon(s) and land while thinking about events that surround the image itself.
